Upgrade Van LLC ("Company") takes pride in the quality of its work and provides the following warranty coverage for premium custom vehicle transformation services. This warranty applies in addition to your rights under law.
1. Warranty Overview
We warrant that all work is performed professionally, using premium-grade materials, and in accordance with best industry standards. This limited warranty protects you against defects in materials and workmanship for the specified periods.
2. Warranty Periods
The Company provides the following warranty periods for various components and services:
2.1. Upholstery and Interior Finishing
- Leather and vinyl upholstery: 3 years
- Seams, stitching, and decorative elements: 2 years
- Wood trim and inserts: 2 years
- Carpet and textile elements: 1 year
2.2. Ceiling Systems and Lighting
- Ceiling panels and structures: 3 years
- Starlight ceiling systems: 2 years
- LED lighting and controls: 2 years
- Electrical components: 1 year
2.3. Flooring
- Marine-grade waterproof flooring: 5 years
- Installation and sealing: 3 years
2.4. Multimedia and Technology Systems
- Installation and integration: 1 year
- Wiring and connections: 2 years
- Manufacturer equipment: per manufacturer's warranty
2.5. Soundproofing and Climate Control
- Soundproofing materials: 3 years
- Climate system installation: 1 year
3. Warranty Coverage
The warranty covers:
- Defects in materials used in your project
- Defects in workmanship and installation
- Premature wear caused by manufacturing or installation defects
- Delamination, cracking, or separation of properly installed materials
- Malfunction of electrical systems installed by the Company
4. Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does NOT cover:
4.1. Normal Wear and Tear
- Fading or discoloration from sun exposure
- Minor scratches, scuffs, or marks from regular use
- Natural aging of materials
- Wear in high-traffic areas (entries, driver seat)
4.2. Damage Caused By
- Accidents, collisions, or vehicle rollover
- Misuse, abuse, or neglect
- Exposure to extreme environmental conditions
- Chemicals, cleaning products, or harsh materials
- Water, flooding, or submersion (except designated waterproof areas)
- Fire, vandalism, or acts of war
4.3. Unauthorized Modifications
- Repairs or alterations performed by non-Company personnel
- Installation of additional components by third parties
- Modifications affecting warranted component operation
4.4. Improper Maintenance
- Failure to perform regular cleaning and care
- Use of inappropriate cleaning or care products
- Failure to follow recommended maintenance procedures
5. Warranty Service Procedure
5.1. Notification
To initiate warranty service, you must:
- Notify the Company in writing (email or letter) within 30 days of discovering the issue
- Provide detailed description of the issue with photographs if possible
- Provide proof of purchase and project records
- Make the vehicle available for inspection upon request
5.2. Inspection and Assessment
Upon receiving your warranty claim, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 2 business days
- Schedule inspection within 7 business days (if necessary)
- Assess whether the issue is covered under warranty
- Provide written determination of warranty coverage
5.3. Resolution
If the claim is approved, we will, at our option:
- Repair the defective component or workmanship
- Replace defective materials
- Provide credit toward repair cost at an independent facility (in exceptional cases)
- Offer a fair resolution appropriate to the circumstances
6. Repair Timeline
Warranty repair work is completed within reasonable timeframes, typically:
- Minor repairs: 1-3 business days
- Medium repairs: 5-10 business days
- Major repairs: 2-4 weeks (subject to material availability)
Actual timelines depend on issue complexity, material availability, and our production schedule.
7. Client Expenses
Warranty repair is covered at no additional charge for:
- Labor
- Materials
- Replacement parts
However, the client is responsible for:
- Transportation of the vehicle to and from our facility
- Any accommodation or rental expenses during repair
- Diagnostic fees if the issue is not covered by warranty
8. Warranty Transfer
This warranty may be transferred to subsequent vehicle owners for the remaining warranty period, provided:
- Written notification to the Company of ownership change
- Proof of purchase and maintenance records are provided
- A $150 administrative transfer fee is paid
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- This warranty constitutes your exclusive remedy
- The Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, or punitive damages
- Maximum liability is limited to the cost of the specific defective component or work
- Warranty does not cover loss of use, inconvenience, or commercial losses
10. Consumer Rights
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary by jurisdiction. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
11. Care Recommendations
To maximize the lifespan of your customization and maintain warranty coverage:
- Regularly clean all surfaces with appropriate products
- Protect leather surfaces from direct sunlight
- Address spills and stains promptly
- Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents
- Follow all maintenance recommendations provided at delivery
- Have installed components inspected annually for signs of wear
